There has recently been a lot of buzz which has emerged about a interesting object found in a SOHO image from the LASCO C3 camera which has been making the rounds as a new UFO sighting and in some circles even being blamed for the destruction of a US Air Force weather satellite. While the object is very interesting and does present some fascinating implications it appears to be more likely some sort of space platform in use by the ever present “Secret Space Program.”

So what’s the deal? In a March 1st image off the SOHO satellite you can clearly see this object fairly well illuminated sitting within the field of the camera. At first glance it actually bears a striking resemblance to the DRAX Industries space station seen in the film Moonraker. The general design of the object has lead me to think it might be a space platform of some sort, in fact its design is erely similar to an early USAF / NASA design for the Multimodule Operational National Multipurpose Space Station which was port forth in the early 1960’s.

Based on its general design it would appear to be a platform with multiple solar panels and modules, most likely very human in design. But its design is not what is truly perplexing. What is more interesting about this object is that it can only be found using the LASCO C3 camera. The LASCO C2 camera does not seem to display the object.

So why would that be? To understand that we need to look at the LASCO C3 vs. the LASCO C2 cameras.  According to SpaceWeather.com the main difference is field of view:

LASCO (Large Angle Spectrometric Coronagraph) is able to take images of the solar corona by blocking the light coming directly from the Sun with an occulter disk, creating an artificial eclipse within the instrument itself. The position of the solar disk is indicated in the images by the white circle. The most prominent feature of the corona are usually the coronal streamers, those nearly radial bands that can be seen both in C2 and C3. Occasionally, a coronal mass ejection can be seen being expelled away from the Sun and crossing the fields of view of both coronagraphs. The shadow crossing from the lower left corner to the center of the image is the support for the occulter disk.

C2 images show the inner solar corona up to 8.4 million kilometers (5.25 million miles) away from the Sun.

C3 images have a larger field of view: They encompass 32 diameters of the Sun. To put this in perspective, the diameter of the images is 45 million kilometers (about 30 million miles) at the distance of the Sun, or half of the diameter of the orbit of Mercury. Many bright stars can be seen behind the Sun.

This could indicate the object, which is a dead ringer for the 1960’s Multimodule Operational National Multipurpose Space Station, could have been out of the field of view of the C2 camera. It could also indicate that there is some sort of “cloaking” device which was defeated by the C3 camera for some reason. The objective fields of view of the camera’s so different it would most likely appear the object is much further out from the Sun.

So is the object alien?  Most likely it is not.  Many sites are reporting this object as being a UFO, which in some ways it is since we cannot readily identify it, but due to its composition and overall design it feels very human.  I can’t tell you why it is there or what it is doing but its design is human. I know its very easy to jump on the bandwagon and claim this is a alien object. Frankly that’s the easier answer, if its not then we have a lot of figuring out to do…

What’s also interesting is that more and more of these objects are being found, which would indicate the “Secret Space Program” is very far along and our solar system is dotting with platforms and ships making the rounds. In human terms, this is what we should expect.  If the “Secret Space Program” is indeed out there, which I have argued time and time again, then we should be finding ore of these and honestly we are.  Everyday, at an accelerating rate, we are finding more mysterious and obviously human objects which we were not told about.  It also seems to me to indicate that they are growing and preparing for something.
